Job Description
We are looking for an experienced and technically skilled Service Engineer with strong hands-on experience in servicing, troubleshooting, repairing and overhauling heavy equipment, engines, transmissions and related systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, engine and transmission-related problems.
- Perform servicing, preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance.
- Carry out repair and overhaul activities on heavy equipment and related systems.
- Inspect equipment and identify mechanical and technical faults.
- Troubleshoot engines, transmissions and associated components.
- Perform component replacement, repair, testing and commissioning.
- Attend equipment breakdowns and provide on-site technical support.
- Conduct preventive maintenance and service inspections.
- Prepare service reports and maintain equipment maintenance records.
- Coordinate with customers and internal technical teams.
- Ensure proper completion of repair and servicing activities.
- Travel to customer/project locations whenever required.
Priority Experience:
Candidates with demonstrable hands-on experience working with or on equipment associated with the following brands will be highly preferred:
- Komatsu
- Caterpillar
- GMMCO
- Gainwell
- Allison
- AVTEC
- Cummins
- BEML
Important: Experience with every listed brand is not required. Experience with one or more relevant brands/equipment is sufficient if the candidate has strong practical technical expertise.
Experience with Isuzu engines and ZF transmissions will also be considered relevant.
Candidate Profile:
- 3–10 years of relevant hands-on service/maintenance experience.
- Strong practical experience in servicing, troubleshooting, repairing and overhauling heavy equipment.
- Good knowledge of engines, transmissions and mechanical systems.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving ability.
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Automobile or related discipline preferred.
- Candidates with purely theoretical experience and limited hands-on exposure may not be suitable.
- Willingness to travel to customer and project sites.
